This program is currently only available to established rescues in a foster placement; it is an obedience foundation program that will open the lines of communication between humans and dogs. The ultimate goal of this program is adoption. Good Dog B&T tuition covers the following:
- An electronic training collar system.
- Leashes for walking and for training.
- Additional collars as needed during training.
- Daily lessons, practice sessions, play dates, open gym and/or field trips during an in-home stay at my house. These will begin privately at home and then expand to include other dogs and public places. Normally within a week dogs will be approved for group class, open gym, play dates and special events.
- Three follow up lessons at my house.
Once approved and with continued appropriate behavior, dogs may participate for life in any or all scheduled classes, open gym, playdates and/or special events at no additional cost.
Currently, group classes are held on Sunday mornings at 10:00 and on Tuesday evenings at 6:00. The location changes to different parks and dog-friendly establishments. Details about group classes, special events, playdates, social lessons and open gym schedules are available in our Facebook group.
